The Delta All Progressives Congress (APC) Reconciliation Committee, led by the party's founding leader, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor OON, met with Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, former State Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, and other leaders over the weekend, as part of efforts to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Emerhor, accompanied by former Minister for Niger Delta, Elder Godsday Orubebe and Chief Judith Enamuotor, met with former Delta APC Chairman and other pioneer members of the party at Emede, Isoko South LGA.
The committee also held discussions with Senator Nwaoboshi at his residence in Asaba, where the leaders engaged in candid, insightful, and productive deliberations on strengthening the party to build a formidable force capable of winning the 2027 elections in Delta State.

Party members and leaders across various factions have expressed confidence in the Emerhor-led reconciliation committee, applauding their efforts to unite the APC. They have pledged their support for the reconciliation of all aggrieved members.
Providing insights into the closed-door meeting, Emerhor noted, "We had a very insightful and fruitful meeting with Senator Nwaoboshi. His extensive and impactful political experience, including his time as State Party Chairman, was invaluable. It was a significant step forward."
He further remarked, "We also met with former Delta APC State Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, and the APC Pioneer Group he leads. The meeting was vibrant and informative. One key takeaway was the need for unity and inclusivity. Many pioneer members feel sidelined."
Emerhor emphasized that the reconciliation process aims to ensure that no party stakeholder is left out, giving everyone a sense of belonging.
The reconciliation committee assured party members that fairness and justice would guide their efforts and urged leaders, stakeholders, and members to support the committee’s work. They stressed the importance of setting aside grievances and embracing peace to rebuild the party collectively.
The meeting was attended by team Leader, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and Chairman of the Secretariat Sub-Committee, Elder Godsday Orubebe and Chief Judith Enamuotor. Other committee members were unable to attend due to understandable reasons.
