Founding leader of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun O'tega Emerhor, has congratulated the newly elected state executives of the party, commending the consensus-driven process that produced the leadership team headed by Chief Solomon Arenyeka.

Emerhor, who attended the State Congress in Asaba, seconded the motion moved by Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei for the formal dissolution of the former State Executive Committee, describing the move as a necessary step toward repositioning the party for the next electoral cycle. The motion paved the way for the emergence of a new executive to steer the affairs of the APC in Delta State.

The APC chieftain, in a statement signed by Ughere Daniel, his Media Assistant, expressed appreciation for the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whom he praised for fostering unity within the party. He said the governor’s inclusive approach had helped bridge divides between founding members and newer entrants into the APC.

He lauded Oborevwori for “fostering an inclusive environment that unites both new and founding members of the party,” noting that such unity was critical to strengthening the APC’s structure and expanding its influence across Delta State.

Emerhor also urged the newly elected executives to prioritise accessibility and openness in their dealings with party members. He encouraged them to remain approachable and responsive, actively engage stakeholders at all levels, and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Looking to the future, the APC chieftain expressed optimism about the party’s prospects, declaring that by 2027, the APC should face no opposition in any election in Delta State. He said the vision of a dominant and cohesive party was achievable through discipline, inclusiveness, and sustained engagement with the electorate.
