— Aniocha North set to deliver Oborevwori, Chinye again in 2027
Aniocha North was aglow with celebration on Thursday, May 15, as former House of Reps Minority Leader, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, showered praise on the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, for what he called “legacy projects that are changing lives.”
Elumelu made the remarks during the official commissioning of the ultra-modern Issele-Uku Market and the refurbished Onicha-Uku Community Town Hall — projects executed under Chinye’s administration and inaugurated by Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, wife of the Delta State Governor.

“These are not just structures — they are symbols of hope, progress, and people-first governance,” Elumelu said. “Hon. Chinye has proven his dedication to serving the people with purpose and passion.”
The former federal lawmaker declared that Aniocha North is firmly behind Hon. Chinye’s second-term bid, pointing to his developmental track record and his commitment to community upliftment.
He also reaffirmed the local government’s full support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, applauding the Governor’s performance in office and his attention to quality service delivery across Delta State.
“Governor Oborevwori has raised the bar of leadership. His development blueprint is not just on paper — it’s on the ground, in the lives of our people,” Elumelu said. “Aniocha North is solidly with him for a second term.”
Elumelu extended appreciation to the Governor’s wife and her entourage, including Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, wife of the Deputy Governor, for gracing the event and lending their support to grassroots development.
He called on traders to take full advantage of the Issele-Uku Modern Market and urged Onicha-Uku residents to safeguard and utilise the new town hall for community progress.
As Delta marches forward, Elumelu said, leaders like Oborevwori and Chinye represent the kind of vision and service delivery that deserve to be sustained.
