EFCC Chairman Urges Stronger Purpose and Efficiency in Combating Corruption

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has called for stronger purpose and efficiency in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Speaking at a management retreat in Abuja, Olukoyede emphasized the need for determination, focus, and efficiency in combating economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.

Olukoyede stressed that the fight against corruption must be approached with vigor, tenacity, and a clear focus on achieving optimal results.

He urged officers of the EFCC to be thorough and respectful of the law in their pursuit of justice.

The Chairman also highlighted the importance of making sacrifices and adding value to the work of fighting corruption.

He reminded the officers of his three-pronged agenda, which he had previously presented to the Nigerian public, and encouraged them to adhere to it.

In addition, Olukoyede emphasized the importance of respecting the rule of law, stating that while getting results is important, the method used to achieve those results is even more critical.

As the EFCC continues to work towards combating corruption and promoting transparency in Nigeria, it is essential for the organization to maintain a strong sense of purpose and efficiency in its efforts.

By doing so, the EFCC can better serve the Nigerian people and help to create a more just and prosperous society.
