Ebonyi State Governor Bans Use of Siren and Tinted Glass Vehicles Following Attacks on Policemen

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, has issued a directive banning the use of vehicles with tinted glasses and siren in any part of the state.

This decision comes in response to the increasing attacks on security operatives in Abakaliki and its environs.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor, released a statement outlining the new measures aimed at improving security in the state.

The statement emphasized that it is now a serious offense for anyone to use vehicles without plate numbers and licenses.

Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to apprehend offenders and impound their vehicles.

The statement also mentioned that offenders must be thoroughly interrogated, and their vehicles can only be released with clearance from the Office of the Governor.

Governor Nwifuru’s decision is a result of his commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents in the state.

He has urged all citizens to strictly adhere to the new directives to ensure a safer environment for everyone.

As the situation in Ebonyi State evolves, it is crucial for residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and security in the region.
