As part of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) 2024 Servicom Week activities, the Delta State Police Command welcomed key stakeholders on Saturday, including members of civil society organizations, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), and other community partners.
Throughout the week, the Command held town hall meetings with various communities, engaged students across higher institutions in Delta State, and visited primary and secondary schools, where officers distributed books and uniforms. These outreach activities aimed to foster trust, address community concerns, and encourage students to stay committed to their academics while avoiding criminal influences as they mature.
During the closing ceremony, Comrade Akima Efemena commended the Delta State Police for their steadfast dedication to maintaining peace and order, acknowledging the significant pressures and expectations placed upon the officers. He pledged continued support and collaboration with the police to further enhance security across the state.

“Delta’s security landscape has notably improved, largely due to the strategic deployment of skilled officers under Commissioner of Police Olufemi Abaniwonda. We are optimistic this commitment will continue,” Efemena stated.
Similarly, Comrade Oliver Eyefia, chairman of the Delta State PCRC, praised the Command's effective service delivery and robust synergy with community groups, underscoring the importance of sustaining this productive partnership.
Through this year’s Servicom Week, the Delta Police Command reinforced its commitment to community service and proactive engagement, building a stronger bond with Delta State residents and encouraging youth development and safety across the region.
