As Christians worldwide celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Asaba, in partnership with the Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has finalised arrangements to host the 2025 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.

The annual Christmas worship service is scheduled for Sunday, December 21, at the Church Auditorium, Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS), Asaba, with proceedings commencing at 7:00 a.m.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is designed to offer worshippers a spiritually uplifting experience through soul-stirring Christmas carols and scriptural readings, providing a moment of reflection, gratitude and renewed faith in the midst of global and personal challenges.

In a statement issued by the Delta NIPR Public Relations Officer, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq., it was disclosed that the State Chairman of NIPR, Mr. Godfrey Osakwe, FNIPR, will lead members of the Institute to the service.

Dr. Oghenesivbe said the 2025 edition promises a glorious atmosphere of praise and worship, carefully curated to rekindle the values of love, unity and righteousness among public relations practitioners, professionals from other sectors and the larger Christian community.

He described Christmas as a season of peace and love, when bonds are strengthened, barriers are broken, and hearts are lifted in thanksgiving and joy, adding that participants have been encouraged to dress in Christmas colours — white with a touch of red or red with a touch of white.

“Delta NIPR is pleased to announce the 2025 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols in collaboration with St. Philip’s Anglican Church, AGGS Asaba,” Oghenesivbe stated.

“Members and invited guests are expected to be seated on or before 6:45 a.m., as the programme will commence promptly at 7:00 a.m.”
