Delta NAFA passes vote of confidences on Atiku, Gov Okowa for 2019

  • …Rally, patrons investiture to hold September 2018 in Asaba

Delta State Chapter of Nigerians Asking For Atiku (NAFA) on Wednesday passed vote of confidence on former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa; and urged Deltans to re-elect Okowa as well as vote enmass for Atiku presidential ticket in 2018.

The political pressure group in a communique after its State Exco meeting held at Orchid Hotel in Asaba noted that Atiku  has all it takes to move Nigeria out of the socioeconomic mess which the All Progressives Congress (APC) government led by President Muhammadu Buhari, cluelessly plunged the nation.

The position document signed by NAFA Delta Coordinator, Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe and State Secretary, Philo Edede, noted that the monumental failure of APC and President Buhari can only be corrected by voting out Buhari and his APC in 2019.

NAFA Delta said Atiku is the only presidential aspirant with the required pedigree, well grounded in national and regional politics; with millions of supporters and followers across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria making it possible for him to beat the APC and Buhari in 2019.

The group also noted that Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has proved his worth as a focused and goals oriented administrator as can be seen from successes recorded so far in the area of road infrastructure development numbering over 200 roads within three years,  youth empowerment through wealth and job creation, sports development with particular reference to the reconstruction of the multi-billion Naira Stephen Keshi International Stadium as well as the successful hosting of CAA 21st African Athletics Senior championship.

NAFA Delta disclosed that it’s patrons in the three senatorial districts of Delta North,  South and Central shall be specially treated to an Investiture Dinner on 7th September, 2018 at the Grand Hotel, Asaba while a state rally shall be held in honour of Atiku on 20th September, before Presidential primaries.

Restructuring of Nigeria to address the pitiable injustice in the allocation of national financial resources remains the driving force of NAFA support for Atiku. The perceived genuine intentions of Atiku to nurse and attain the restructuring process to fruition mattered most to Nigerians because it will promote healthy competition among States in each region or geopolitical zones.
