Delta confirms 5 new COVID-19 cases, Warri South 4, Oshimili North 1

Delta state government has confirmed 5 new cases of patients who tested positive for COVID-19.

The state has recorded 22 cases since the index case was reported on April 7, 2020.

The State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu who confirmed this development on his Facebook page, said Warri South local government recorded 4 new cases, while Oshimili North has one case.

With this 5 new cases of COVID-19, Delta State now ranked 20th out of the 34 states and FCT with a total of 22 cases.

According to the information released, Delta State now has 13 active cases of COVID-19, 6 discharged and 3 deaths.

Breakdown of this figure shows that Warri South is now the epicentre of COVID-19 in Delta State with 7 active cases, followed by Uvwie with 3 active cases, while Udu, Ethiope West, Oshimili North has one active case each.
