The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has reaffirmed its unity and collective resolve ahead of the forthcoming party congresses, declaring that the exercises will further strengthen internal cohesion and inclusiveness within the party.

This was the outcome of a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Asaba, where party leaders across the state closed ranks and pledged loyalty to the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Speaking with our correspondent, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., said the meeting brought together all critical stakeholders and resulted in a shared understanding on the need to prioritise party unity and progress.

According to him, stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their loyalty to Governor Oborevwori, recognising him as the undisputed leader of the party in Delta State. He noted that all tendencies within the Delta APC are now firmly aligned behind the governor’s leadership.

Onojeghuo said the forthcoming congresses would be “peaceful, transparent and inclusive,” adding that the party leadership is determined to carry all members along and deepen internal democracy.

“The unity recorded at the stakeholders’ meeting is the product of sustained consultations, reconciliation efforts and a collective decision to place the interest of the party above personal considerations,” he stated.

He urged party members at all levels to sustain the spirit of cooperation and unity, stressing that a united APC is better positioned to deliver good governance and enhance its electoral fortunes in the state.
