DELTA 2019: CHIEF JOE OMENE RESUMES ATTACKS ON GOV OKOWA, URHOBO APPOINTEES IN GOV’T

CABAL READY FOR 2019 STOMACH POLITICS, ROMANCES APC, BUHARI

Remember Chief Joe Omene, the crooner and the pharoah of 2015 Uvwiamuge Declaration for Urhobo Governor? Yes, he is at it again.

The embattled former President General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) has been in the cooler, licking his wounds after failure to install himself as the emperor of Urhobo Nation.

He is back for 2019 general elections and this time; his target is the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari that he rejected in 2015.

Omene is well known for his “stomach infrastructure” struggles, hiding under “Urhobo Agenda” to milk billions of Naira from politicians before and during general elections.

His bad track records in terms of “double dealing and backstabbing” stinks. When it comes to dirty politics, omene knows how best to put food on his dinning table.

His tenure as UPU PG brought disunity, acute bitterness among sons and daughters of Urhobo Nation who hitherto were cowed by the misleading political ‘Uvwiamuge Declaration” that destroyed the Urhobo sociocultural organisation, UPU.

Tribal bigotry was the major political tool of Uvwiamuge Declaration in 2015; crafted and used by Chief Omene and his co-travellers who unscrupulously mobilized some gullible folks to partially achieve their self interest by collecting huge sums of money from different political groups and individuals both at federal and state levels to split votes and smile to the banks.

His recent interview with an online newspaper, “The Advocates,” Chief Omene berated the State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, over what he called “beggarly sorry state of Urhobo Political Appointees in Okowa Administration.”

Omene opined that the Urhobos in Okowa Administration are mere political appointees without portfolios, men and women without authority to make decisions as their positions dictates.

He went further to state that Gov Okowa uses political appointments that comes with peanuts as salaries to hold down Urhobo leading voices against his government. Hmmmm! Could this be true? Certainly, NO.

It surprises me to hear from Chief Omene, a man that facilitated the appointment of some persons turning around to pour venom on this government. This volt voice of his must be bleached out of recognition.

I remember clearly that Omene once sing-praised Gov Okowa immediately he won the election but that love waxed cold after Olorogun Moses Taiga became President General of UPU. You want to know why Chief Omene is unstable? Your guess is as good as mine!

Omene strongly believe that Gov Okowa and the PDP bankrolled the victory of Olorogun Taiga and may have firmly decided to pitch tent with APC in 2019 to take his “pound of flesh” from PDP and the incumbent governor. This assumption of his remains the very figment of imagination now propelling him for another political show of shame.

It’s obvious that the political drumbeat and altercation during the forthcoming general elections shall be robust and very interesting. The likes of Omene must be brought to the market square of politics, x-rayed and properly rated so as to end an era of political mischief and beggarly politics of stomach infrastructure.

Let me remind Chief Omene that castigating Gov Okowa for appointing Urhobos without the required official powers to function will never yield any political point in the forthcoming electioneering campaign. It’s the weakest point ever in political permutations because it lacks objectivity, facts and figures.

Secondly, the Urhobos in government can as well speak for themselves at the appropriate time and cannot and will never be the duty of Omene to speak for Urhobo appointees in government.

He lacked the moral and legal justification to present himself as a voice for Urhobo Nation. Olorogun Moses Taiga is the legitimate and duly recognised PG of UPU, even though their are complains here and there over what stakeholders described as slow and docile style of leadership so far exhibited by Olorogun Moses Taiga. They opined that he ought to be vibrant, more visible and outspoken as his office demands.

Gov Okowa as an experienced politician is aware that a government that treats political appointees with disdain stand the chances of experiencing swift surprises and do not need Chief Omene to dance around issues meant for political electioneering strategists to deal with at the appropriate time. But in the instant case; there are no proof and justifications for Omene’s unsolicited outburst.

More importantly, Gov Okowa has favoured the Urhobos in several ways including juicy appointments; from SSG through the ranks to bottom. And as a prosperity governor, he has all it takes to deal with issues relating to the welfare and quality life of Deltans including that of his appointees.

Chief Omene must be told that blackmailing Gov Okowa ahead of 2019 general elections shall be counter productive with negative consequences in terms of luring eligible voters for the APC.

Omene must also be cautioned that castigating our royal fathers by saying “they sold people’s farmlands to Fulani herdsmen” in return for cash which is why killings cannot be avoided; that he stands the chance of ruining the little left over of his FRIGILE reputation in Urhobo Nation.

Elected and appointed Urhobos in this administration are wise enough to make case for themselves whenever the need arises and certainly not the responsibility of the former UPU PG to use the back door for political scheming as we approach 2019 general elections. To the best of my knowledge, Urhobo appointees are in good standing.

I will be here to cross examine Chief Omene publicly as we navigate into 2019 governorship and general elections. I know his antics too well to checkmate his large appetite for “Ghana Must Go” deals. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

On a final note, Omene must be told that the only authentic Urhobo National Political Leader (UNPL) recognised world-wide is our amiable and indefatigable Chief James Onanefe Ibori. He gave the Urhobo ethnic nationality of Delta Central firm instructions to re-elect Gov Okowa in 2019.

Political leaders in Delta Delta Central, from Chief Fovie to Senator Amori to Speaker Oborevbori to Chief Betnard Edewor to Elegbete Odibo and to all other political leaders in the entire eight (8) local government of the senatorial district are on the same page with Chief Ibori.

Urhobo is working very hard to ensure 100% victory for Gov Okowa in all eight LGAs in Delta Central come 2019. This fake “Urhobo Agenda Gospel” of Chief Joe Omene will certainly not see the light of day.

Urhobo governorship slot is not far away; 2023 is done deal and Gov Okowa firmly promised that he shall handover power to a democratically elected Urhobo Governor come May 29, 2023. On this arrangement we stand, no amount of preaching from Omene and his co-traveller can change it, by the special grace of God.

OKOWA AGAIN 2019, NO CHALLENGE.
