Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, Speaker of Jigawa's State House of Assembly, has won the APC's consensus ticket for Miga State Constituency in 2027. Usman Dange, representing the party's national office in Abuja, made the announcement after primaries wrapped up across all 30 state constituencies.
Dangyatin immediately pledged to push for development projects and laws benefiting Miga residents. He promised to work toward improving both social conditions and economic opportunities in his constituency and statewide.
The Speaker vowed stronger ties between the legislature and Governor Umar Namadi's administration. According to him, this cooperation will help deliver on the governor's 12-point development agenda.
Dangyatin thanked APC stakeholders in Miga for their backing. He expressed confidence the party would transform Jigawa into a prosperous state.
Jigawa APC chairman Ahmed Mailing MK praised the primary exercise as peaceful and orderly. He noted it followed the same transparent process used during National Assembly primaries.
Mailing said the successful primaries have boosted party morale heading into 2027. He expressed confidence APC would retain the presidency for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and sweep all elective positions in the state.
The chairman commended the national primary election committee for their work. Governor Namadi, party stakeholders, and members also received praise for supporting the exercise.
