A Wuse Zone 6 Magistrates' Court in Abuja has affirmed Julius Bobi as the National President of the Motorcycle Operators’ Union of Nigeria (MOUN). The ruling was delivered by Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna, who issued an order compelling all members of the union to recognize Bobi as the legitimate national president.
In his ruling, Magistrate Iyanna stated, "Upon hearing the application and submissions of counsel to the complainants, Femi Ekundayo, and after considering the issues raised, it is expedient in the interest of justice to grant this application." He added, "The application is hereby granted as prayed in the interim."
The court ordered that Bobi should remain in his position as national president, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice, filed under suit number CV/85/2024.

The legal action was brought by the union and nine others following a leadership crisis within the organization. The union’s counsel, Femi Ekundayo, sought the court's intervention to stop Sotayo Olusola, a defendant in the case, from presenting himself as the president of the union or acting as a private agent to Bobi.
Ekundayo also requested an order to prohibit the defendant from printing illegal union tickets and to transfer all revenue generated from these sales, which had been paid into Olusola's personal account, back into the union’s corporate account. Additionally, the lawyer asked the court to mandate that all future union revenue be deposited into the union’s official Eco Bank account, forbidding the use of personal accounts for such transactions.

After reviewing the arguments, the court ordered both parties to maintain the status quo pending the hearing and determination of the case.
The letter states:
