The push to rebuild and re-energise the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central ahead of the 2027 general elections received a major boost on Friday as party leaders, elders and stakeholders stormed the PTI Conference Centre, Effurun, in a show of renewed resolve to reclaim political dominance in the district.
Leading the charge, Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central, said the APC’s future victories will depend squarely on “strong collaboration and consistent involvement,” urging stakeholders to take ownership of the party’s growth and destiny. He stressed that only a committed, fully engaged political family can deliver the scale of victory the district expects in the next electoral cycle.
Dafinone praised the ongoing harmonisation of the two-party structures in Delta Central, describing it as a seamless process driven by unity of purpose. According to him, the integration has been “progressing smoothly,” anchored on mutual respect and a shared commitment to reposition the APC as an inclusive and performance-driven political platform.
Reaffirming his personal dedication to strengthening the party, the Senator pledged to continue promoting harmony and deeper collaboration across all levels in the district. He insisted that Delta Central must stand as one if it hopes to deliver purposeful leadership and the progress the people deserve. Only a “cohesive and vibrant political front,” he maintained, can secure lasting electoral success.
The strategic meeting provided a platform for leaders to analyse the current political climate, assess internal dynamics, and outline new strategies to enhance coherence, communication, and structural effectiveness. Stakeholders agreed that only a more coordinated and proactive party machinery can withstand the evolving political realities in Delta State.
A major highlight of the gathering was a motion moved by Senator Dafinone through which Delta Central stakeholders unanimously pledged unwavering loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori. The pledge underscored the district’s confidence in its leadership and its commitment to supporting stability, continuity and a shared vision for a more prosperous Nigeria.
