CAN President Urges Perseverance in Hardship: National Day of Prayer 2024

In the face of economic hardship in Nigeria, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, has called on the citizens to persevere and continue praying for the nation and its leaders.

The call was made on the sidelines of the National Day of Prayer 2024, held in Abuja on Wednesday.

The interdenominational prayer event, with the theme “In His Hands,” aimed to offer special prayers for the nation and its leadership amidst the challenges the country is facing.

The event saw the participation of various religious leaders, who joined hands to seek divine intervention for the betterment of Nigeria.

During the event, Archbishop Okoh urged the government to remain sensitive to the experiences of the people and continue to enact policies that would positively impact the lives of the citizens.

He emphasized the importance of prayer in these difficult times and encouraged Nigerians to depend on God and remain accountable, transparent, and persons of integrity.

Guest speaker Prophet Isa El-Buba highlighted the role of divine intervention and prayer in addressing the challenges faced by the nation

. He emphasized that the power to fix a nation comes from above through prayer, and that when leaders lack the necessary wisdom, prayer can provide the insight needed to make righteous decisions and lead effectively.

Prophet El-Buba stressed the importance of government leaders listening to the voice of the people, as they serve the interests of the people.

He urged President Bola Tinubu’s government to respond to the needs and voices of the people, aligning their actions with the will of the populace.

The National Day of Prayer 2024 served as a reminder of the power of prayer and the need for divine intervention in the face of economic hardship in Nigeria.

It is a call to the government, policy makers, and the citizens to come together and seek God’s guidance and wisdom in leading the nation towards positive change and healing.
