Bode George Responds to Jandor’s Anti-Party Claims: ‘He’s Not on My Level, It’s an Insult to Stoop Low’

In the aftermath of the 2023 elections, Bode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has responded to allegations of engaging in anti-party activities made by the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, widely known as Jandor.

George has dismissed the accusations, stating that it would be an insult to stoop to Jandor’s level.

Jandor had accused George of directing members of the PDP not to vote for its candidates during the 2023 elections, citing evidence on national television.

However, George, a life Board of Trustee member, emphasized his significant role within the PDP and criticized Jandor for his lack of understanding of the party.

In an interview monitored by Sun, George expressed his reluctance to engage in public conflict with Jandor, highlighting the importance of the Board of Trustees in managing the party’s assets on behalf of the people.

He also mentioned a major mistake made during the planning for the national election and his decision to walk out of a meeting due to concerns about the direction the party was heading.

George further commented on the crisis brought about by the election planning, reflecting on the role of the founding fathers of the PDP and the need for unity within the party.

His response underscores the ongoing tensions within the PDP following the 2023 elections and the challenges faced by the party in Lagos State.

As the situation unfolds, the dispute between Bode George and Jandor raises questions about the future of the PDP in Lagos and the party’s ability to address internal conflicts and maintain unity among its members.

The outcome of this controversy may have significant implications for the PDP’s electoral prospects in the state and its overall position within Nigeria’s political landscape.
