Senator Ned Nwoko isn't holding back. The Delta North lawmaker is calling out Nigeria's leadership, declaring the nation's woes go far deeper than mere constitutional tweaks.
"Nigeria's problem isn't solely constitutional," Nwoko asserted on Channels Television. "Yes, reforms are necessary, but our most pressing challenge remains the absence of patriotic leadership and a lack of accountability."
Drawing a sharp contrast with the UK's unwritten but effective constitution, Nwoko stressed that national interest and integrity must trump rigid legal frameworks. "Their system works because their leaders, institutions, and citizens put national interest above personal gain. That's what we must emulate."
The senator is demanding a re-prioritisation of governance: tangible improvements in education, healthcare, housing, and security for ordinary Nigerians, not just "lofty promises."
And on the long-standing push for Anioma State? Nwoko is unwavering. He calls it a "historic and legitimate demand," dismissing political motives and pledging to champion the cause for the Anioma people.
