AY clarifies he did not call Seun Kuti’s daughter a dog

AY, a comedian, has refuted the claim that he depicted Seun Kuti’s daughter as a dog in his comedy skit. He said he was making a joke about the trending issue of Hilda Baci, who was famous for eating dog meat, and that he had no intention of mocking Seun Kuti’s child.

He said he was a stand-up comedian who commented on social issues and that he loved children. He said he had waited for 13 years to have a child and that he would never insult a child by calling them a dog. He said he understood that people take comedians seriously in Nigeria, but that he was just doing his job. He said Hilda Baci was not offended by his joke, but Seun Kuti was.

Seun Kuti, however, did not accept AY’s explanation and called him a dick. He said he watched his video and understood the timing and meaning of it. He said the only person in the back seat of his car was his daughter, and AY put a dog in the back seat of his car in the skit.

He said AY and other comedians thought they were something, but they were spineless. He said AY had also shaded him before for rejecting a national award from the government. He said he was not interested in AY’s lies and tagged him in his video.
