For over thirty years, Apostle Oliver Tonye has carried a simple message across Nigeria and the world. Jesus Christ saves, heals, and transforms lives.

He founded Jesus Heals the Sick Ministries and the Apostolic Centre. Both institutions train believers to live like Jesus did.

Tonye also established the International Network of Apostolic Voices. He's an author, teacher, and conference speaker.

Currently, he serves as Publicity Secretary and Director of Digital Media for the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Lagos State. His voice on biblical healing and church unity has earned him respect across denominations.

In an exclusive chat, Tonye spoke about his calling, miracles, and the church's future. He discussed his work in PFN Lagos and what drives his ministry.

When asked to describe his calling, Tonye was clear. "My calling is first to preach Jesus Christ," he said.

According to him, the gospel is fundamentally about healing and restoration. Physical healing is just one component of a larger message.

"When Jesus healed the sick, His ultimate purpose was reconciliation between God and humanity," Tonye noted. Broken relationships are healed when people return to God, he explained.

Healing remains central to his work because it reveals God's nature. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus healed people He loved.

"We preach the whole gospel," he said. That includes salvation, healing, restoration, and discipleship.

Over the decades, Tonye has witnessed extraordinary miracles. People have been freed from chronic pain, migraines, and emotional trauma through prayer.

Broken families have been restored. Many surrendered their lives to Christ through his ministry.

But Tonye considers spiritual rebirth the greatest miracle of all. A genuine conversion is, in his view, the highest form of healing.

His missions to South Africa have generated considerable interest. He has visited the country on multiple occasions.

One particular trip left a lasting impression on him. "We ministered across several churches and communities," Tonye recalled.

"People encountered God in extraordinary ways."

He works closely with Practical Christianity Ministries in South Africa. Dr.

Ifeanyi Lerato Wosu leads that organization.

During those visits, many came to faith in Christ. Believers experienced revival, and healing testimonies multiplied.

What moved Tonye most wasn't the miracles themselves. It was the opportunity to point people consistently toward Jesus rather than chasing supernatural signs.

Critics frequently question divine healing claims. Tonye doesn't engage in arguments with skeptics.

"Healing belongs to God," he stated plainly. He simply follows Jesus's direct command to bring healing power to this generation.

But Tonye draws a crucial distinction. Faith and medicine are not enemies.

"God has given wisdom to medical professionals," he acknowledged. Prayer and responsible medical care work together, not against each other.

Beyond healing ministry, Tonye has taken on significant leadership roles in PFN Lagos. Serving the body of Christ is a privilege, he believes.

His contributions have shaped the fellowship's direction in the state. His influence extends across multiple spheres of church leadership.
