Kano's APC chapter has cleared 20 House of Representatives candidates via consensus arrangements. Four constituencies, however, went through contested primary elections instead.

Auwalu Soja, the party's state spokesman, made the announcement in a voice recording. He explained that party officials had negotiated agreements with most aspirants to avoid divisive primaries.

In Bagwai/Shanono, sitting lawmaker Yusuf Ahmad Badau defeated Faruk Lawan to retain his ticket. Lawan, a former House member, lost the battle for nomination.

Sulaiman Mukthar Ishaq emerged victorious in Madobi/Garun Mallam, according to Soja. He didn't face any opposition during the selection process.

Hamisu Chidari, the incumbent in Dambatta, secured his third-term ticket without contest. Mustapha Bala Maigidan Ruwa won the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa primary in the fourth contested race.

Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, and Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa were among consensus candidates who sailed through. All 20 beneficiaries got their nominations without facing any challengers.

Soja praised the orderliness of the exercise across the state. He noted that proceedings remained peaceful and secure throughout.
