APC Reacts to Supreme Court Verdicts on Gubernatorial Disputes: ‘You Win Some, Lose Some’

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to the Supreme Court’s verdicts on gubernatorial disputes in several states across Nigeria.

The party expressed its acceptance of the court’s decisions, stating that the outcome of the cases reflects the principle of “you win some, lose some.”

The Supreme Court recently delivered judgments on election petitions challenging the results of the 2023 gubernatorial elections in eight states of the Federation.

The APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Friday night, said it has accepted the court’s decisions.

The party expressed delight that the Supreme Court upheld the victory of its candidates in some states, while also acknowledging the disappointment that comes with losing in other states.

The APC emphasized that it respects the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, which is a critical component of Nigeria’s democracy.

The statement from the party read, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) notes with delight the Supreme Court’s decision upholding the victory of our candidates in some states while expressing disappointment in the outcome of the cases in other states.

Our party respects the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, which is a critical component of our democracy.”

The APC’s reaction to the Supreme Court’s verdicts on the gubernatorial disputes highlights the importance of accepting the decisions of the judiciary, regardless of the outcome.

This acceptance of the court’s decisions demonstrates the party’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and the democratic process in Nigeria.

As the dust settles on the Supreme Court’s judgments, it is important for all parties involved to move forward in the interest of the Nigerian people.

This includes working towards the development and progress of the states affected by the gubernatorial disputes, and ensuring that the democratic process remains fair and transparent for all.
