APC- Hold SDP responsible if anything happens to INEC office in Kogi

The Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the general public to hold the Social Democratic Party (SDP) responsible if anything bad happens at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Lokoja.

The APC campaign council called on security agencies to increase security around INEC offices.

Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the APC campaign council’s director of media and publicity/spokesperson, made the calls in a statement released in Lokoja on Sunday night.

The SDP, in a statement by its Director General, New Media, MuriSam Campaign Council, Mr. Isaiah Ijele, claimed preparations to set fire to the INEC office.

“We have learned through reliable sources that there is an urgent need for security to be increased around the Kogi INEC office to prevent the wicked plan to set fire to the office by mandate robbers,” Ijele claimed.

However, the APC campaign council stated that the party was sure that the SDP’s false alarm about an alleged planned assault on the INEC office aimed to hide the party’s evil intention of burning the INEC office and accusing it of the APC.
