Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress has unveiled committees to oversee its National Assembly primary elections. Felix Morka, the party's national publicity secretary, announced the move in a statement released on Friday.
Both primary election committees and appeal committees have been constituted ahead of the exercise. According to Morka, members and stakeholders must prioritize transparency and fairness throughout the process.
Peacefulness remains critical during the elections, party officials stressed. APC had previously shifted its House of Representatives primary by one day for the 2027 general elections.
All other scheduled primaries remain unchanged, the party confirmed. Senate, state assembly, governorship, and presidential contests will proceed as originally planned.
