In a bid to foster unity and reconciliation within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, the party’s state leadership visited the National Chairman, His Excellency Abdullahi Ganduje, in Abuja on Thursday, in a that have commended by critical stakeholder.
The delegation, led by the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Olorogun Barr Festus Keyamo (SAN), presented the progress of ongoing reconciliation efforts. They discussed the recently approved report of the Delta State APC Reconciliation Committee, urging the National Chairman to collaborate with Delta APC leaders to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. Highlighting the need for teamwork, the delegation emphasized the end of a one-man leadership era in Delta APC. They pointed to the diverse composition of the delegation, which included major stakeholders from across the state, as a sign of collective commitment to rebuilding the party. The National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, commended the delegation’s efforts to unite the party, pledging his support to bring together all APC leaders in Delta, including those absent from the meeting.
He expressed his commitment to ensuring party cohesion and took a moment during the meeting to speak with the Delta APC State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, who was recovering from surgery, wishing him a speedy recovery.
The delegation comprised notable figures including APC founding leader in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor (OON); former Minister Elder Godsday Orubebe; Senators Ede Dafinone and Joel Thomas-Onowakpo; House of Representatives member Rev. Francis Waive; and former Speaker Hon. Victor Ochei.
As reconciliation gains momentum, this meeting marks a crucial step toward securing a united front for APC Delta’s future successes under its “Renewed Hope” agenda.
