Ajayi Vows to Boost Ondo Economy Without Federal Allocation

Former deputy governor of Ondo state, Hon Agboola Ajayi, has announced his plans to run for the governorship position under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and promised to boost the state’s economy without relying on Federal allocation.

During a press conference in Akure, Ajayi stated that he understands the economic needs of the state and has the experience to govern and transform it.

He highlighted the importance of developing infrastructure, particularly the construction of roads to link riverine areas, which would attract private investors and create employment opportunities.

Ajayi emphasized that the state’s economy could thrive without the monthly allocation from the Federal government.

He also mentioned the potential for a railway system to link coastal communities in the state to Kogi State, which would reduce the number of heavy duty trucks on the highway.

The former member of the National Assembly expressed confidence in winning the party primary and assured the public that he would remain in the PDP if the primary is conducted transparently.

Ajayi stressed the importance of engaging the youth and securing the state, as well as ensuring the welfare of the elderly population.

He believes that with his knowledge and experience, he can lead the state to a prosperous future.

The gubernatorial candidate is determined to bring about significant improvements in the state’s economy and overall development by focusing on infrastructure, job creation, and efficient governance.
