Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun is grieving the loss of a major party figure. Arabinrin Yetunde Shakirat Adesanya, the APC's South-West Zonal Woman Leader, died Thursday evening.

She passed away at her Lagos home after a long illness. Abiodun released a condolence statement mourning her death.

The governor called Adesanya a devoted APC loyalist and fierce advocate for women in politics. She championed grassroots mobilisation across the South-West for years.

Abiodun noted her role in building up the party's women's wing through mentorship and service. Her commitment to progressive ideals won her widespread respect.

"Her death is painful and devastating," Abiodun said in the statement. "Ogun State and the APC family have lost a courageous, dependable, and highly resourceful woman whose contributions to party development and women empowerment will never be forgotten."

The governor extended sympathies to Adesanya's immediate family. He also reached out to APC leadership across the South-West region.

Abiodun asked God to grant her eternal rest and peace. He prayed the Almighty would strengthen her loved ones during this difficult time.
