Abia State Governor Otti Invites Multi-billion Naira Agric Farm to Boost Economy

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has extended an invitation to the founder of CSS Global Integrated Farms, John-Kennedy Opara, to establish an agricultural farm in the state.
During a recent visit to the farm in Nasarawa State, Governor Otti assured Opara of the state’s business-friendly environment and the government’s commitment to facilitating a swift land acquisition process for the project.
The governor made his appeal during a capacity-building training program for 300 selected trainees from Abia State, who will undergo a two-week agricultural training at the farm.
Emphasizing the importance of agriculture in addressing food security, unemployment, and socio-economic stability, Governor Otti encouraged the trainees to leverage the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to drive agricultural transformation in the state.
Governor Otti’s administration will cover the expenses of the trainees throughout their training, and he pledged comprehensive support for the agricultural program in the state.
He also expressed gratitude to Opara for approving the training and reiterated his administration’s commitment to the success of all agricultural programs in Abia State.
In a paper presentation titled “Agricultural Development And Food Security – The Path To Human And Capital Resources Development,” Opara highlighted the critical role of agriculture in a growing economy.
He emphasized that the trainees, upon completing their training in various agricultural value chains, will become wealth creators and employers of labor, ultimately contributing to the reduction of joblessness, hunger, crime, and poverty in the state.
The collaboration between the Abia State government and CSS Global Integrated Farms is a significant step towards achieving agricultural development and food security in the state.
The initiative will not only enhance the state’s economy but also empower its citizens by providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the agricultural sector.
