Abia State Governor Otti Declares End to Era of Money Sharing Among Politicians

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has proclaimed that his election last year signifies the termination of political oppression in the state.
He vowed that the state will never revert to its past practices, emphasizing that his administration is dedicated to bringing about a new era of governance.
Addressing a town hall meeting for Abia North senatorial district, Governor Otti made it clear that the old order of sharing state resources among a select group of politicians and their allies is over.
He emphasized that under his leadership, Abia’s resources will be utilized for the benefit of the people, rather than being distributed among political elites.
“In the past, Abia money was shared among those close to government, and their cronies.
But unfortunately for them, things have changed,” Governor Otti stated.
He further stressed that his administration is one that invests money in the welfare of the people, not in distributing it among politicians.
Governor Otti also warned his appointees to prepare for an audit at the end of their service, ensuring accountability and transparency in the state’s governance.
Despite the achievements made so far, he assured that the state would witness even greater transformation in the months to come.
“We are just in the early days of our programmes. In the next 12 months, there shall be more developments,” he declared, expressing his commitment to the betterment of the state.
Governor Otti expressed satisfaction with the performance of the mayors of the 17 local government areas in the state, commending their dedication to serving the people.
He announced plans to tour every local government area and community in the state to identify and address their specific needs.
The town hall meeting, part of the activities marking the first anniversary of his administration, was aimed at gauging the pulse of the people and receiving their assessment of his governance.
Governor Otti pledged not to betray the trust placed in him by the people of Abia State.
