A Badagry Magistrates’ Court on Thursday sentenced a 22-year-old man, Kazeem Jimoh, to three years imprisonment for stealing, breaking and entry.
Magistrate Fadahunsi Adefioye of Badagry Magistrates’ Court sentenced Jimoh, after he was found guilty of a two-count charge of stealing, breaking and entry.
The convict bags two years for breaking and entry, and another one year for stealing, making three years imprisonment.
Popoola said the sentence of three years imprisonment would run concurrently from the day of his arraignment, March 23.
Earlier, the Prosecution counsel, ASP Clement Okuoimose, had told the court that Jimoh unlawfully broke and entered into Unic All Motor Spare Part dealer’s shop at Pako, Era, Ijanikin area of Lagos.
Okuoimose said the convict stole one Ford Bus Top Cylinder and some iron rods valued N527,000, property of Nnamdi Nwogu, who is the complainant.
He said the offences contravened Sections 309 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
