The Delta State government have relaxed the restriction placed on Movies and Cinema houses which are now free to operate but with only 50% of capacity on addition, they were also directed to fumigate their various halls coupled with strict observance of other COVID 19 protocols.

Disclosing this in Asaba on Thursday, State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu also said hotels and eateries can also operate but should be based on takeaways as the government don’t want a situation whereby many people will share the same set of cutleries.

He said government will strictly monitor all those granted this permission to ensure that the virus is curtailed.

He said government is not interested in the economy bouncing back that its emphasis is more on the health and lives of Deltans.

The Information Commissioner, therefore, urged all to religiously continue with the use of face masks including observance of other protocols so as to consolidate on the gains already achieved.
