In a statement issued by the Delta State Police Command, the exercise, organised in collaboration with the Police Service Commission, will run from Monday, March 9 to Friday, April 18, 2026. The command advised all shortlisted applicants to strictly adhere to the date and time stated on their invitation slips.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Bright Edafe, stated that the screening would hold at the Cenotaph in Asaba and urged candidates to confirm their application status online before reporting for the exercise.

According to the statement, “The Delta State Police Command wishes to formally inform the good people of Delta State, particularly shortlisted applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force, that the Police Service Commission (PSC) in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, will commence physical and credential screening from Monday, 9th March, 2026 to Friday, 18th April, 2026.”

The command further explained that “in Delta State, the screening exercise will take place at the Cenotaph, Asaba, strictly in accordance with the date and time specified on each applicant’s Invitation Slip.”

Applicants were advised to log on to the recruitment portal to confirm their status and print the necessary documents before appearing at the screening venue.

The statement listed the required documents to include the invitation slip with assigned table number, screening forms, evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised hospital, National Identification Number (NIN) printout or NIMC card, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of local government or state of origin signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.

It added that candidates must also present trade test certificates for specialist positions, a duly completed guarantors’ form, and original and duplicate copies of all credentials arranged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.

The command also specified the dress code for applicants, stating that “all applicants must appear dressed in a white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white stockings, as prescribed.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola, assured applicants that the recruitment process would be conducted transparently and strictly on merit.

He emphasised that “the recruitment exercise is entirely free of charge and will be conducted with transparency and merit. Applicants are strongly advised to disregard fraudsters or anyone demanding financial inducement, as such persons will be arrested and prosecuted.”

The command further assured candidates of a smooth and credible screening process and advised members of the public to report complaints through the designated helplines provided by the police.
