The All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta State United Kingdom Chapter has called on Deltans at home and in the diaspora to rally support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, stressing that broad-based cooperation is essential to accelerate job creation and sustainable development across the state in 2026 and beyond.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Barrister Lucky Albert Gbenedio, the chapter said Delta State stands at a critical point where political maturity and collective responsibility are required to deliver tangible economic growth and improved living standards for citizens. The group emphasised that governance should be supported wherever it aligns with the interests of the people, irrespective of party differences.
The APC Delta State UK Chapter noted that meaningful development thrives on synergy among political actors, institutions, and the private sector, adding that such collaboration would unlock opportunities for investment, youth employment, and infrastructural expansion.
According to the statement, sustained cooperation with the state government will help translate policies into measurable outcomes that directly impact communities.
The chapter further pledged its readiness to engage constructively with the Oborevwori administration by mobilising professional expertise, diaspora networks, and strategic partnerships capable of supporting job creation initiatives and development programmes in Delta State. It said the diaspora remains a vital resource in driving innovation, skills transfer, and international investment.
Reaffirming its commitment to the progress of Delta State, the APC Delta State UK Chapter urged all stakeholders to put the state’s interest above partisan considerations as 2026 unfolds.
