Emmanuel Olawore has broken his duck in professional football. The Nigerian striker netted his first goal for Umea FC in Sweden's Ettan Norra division on Saturday.

Olawore struck in the 13th minute at the Umea Energi Arena SOL stadium. His team drew 2-2 with Gefle that day.

He collected a pass from the wing and unleashed a powerful shot toward goal. The goalkeeper got a hand to it, but the ball still found the top corner.

Fredrick Godwin, also Nigerian, started the match alongside him. Both players featured in Umea's lineup.

Olawore's strike wasn't his only contribution that afternoon. He also hit the woodwork, which led to Umea's second goal.

But Gefle fought back hard. The visitors equalized with seven minutes remaining to deny Umea all three points.

This goal arrived in Olawore's sixth professional outing. He's started five league matches since joining the club in February and came off the bench once.

The 18-year-old attacker came through Heyfash Football Academy and Erinsoccer FC. He won gold for Team Ogun at the 2025 National Sports Festival.

Umea signed him after a successful trial period. He inked his first professional contract then.

Currently sitting tenth in the league standings, Umea faces a tough test next Thursday. They travel to relegation-threatened Assyriska in their next fixture.
