Former Governor of Delta State and political heavyweight, Chief James Ibori, has poured glowing praise on his daughter, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, crediting her courage and commitment with preserving his political legacy.
In a heartfelt birthday message posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Ibori celebrated Erhiatake on her 45th birthday, acknowledging her as a fearless and principled leader who stood her ground when it mattered most.
“Without you, the assaults on my legacy might have prevailed,” Ibori declared. “You have grown into a leader who refuses to compromise, defends values above personal gain, and makes me and all of us proud.”
He went on to express gratitude for the strength and resolve Erhiatake has shown in following his political path, praying for her continued wisdom, good health, and impact. “You’ve made your family, your siblings, your constituency — and most of all, me — profoundly proud,” he wrote. “Happy 45th, Erhiatake. Shine on.”
