Warri Today, an Online News platform for launch January 1st

All is now set for the launch of online news platform, Warri Today, on January 1st, 2019.

Warri Today’s core focus is for the objective, fair and credible reportage on happenings in the Niger Delta region on whose resources the Nigerian State survives.

The news platform with site address; http://www.warritodayng.com will hold dearly to it creed of “News you can trust.” Its office is located at Km4, Refinery Road, Ekpan, Delta State.

The platform, basically online, will vigorously advocate peace in the region while drumming for holistic development against its prolong “neglect”.

Warri Today is the creation of team of tested journalists who have grown in professionalism from years of reporting for some of the best newspapers in the country.

Acting News Editor, Warri Today, Mr Ovie Okpare, said the medium will also report news of events of Niger Deltans across the world from politics, metro, business, entertainment, sports to social activities.

The platform is also determined through its reportage to unite all the ethnic nationalities and bridge the gap of mistrust among the people.

 The statement called on the people of the region, industries, entertainers, governments, sports organisations and others to give the platform their required attention with regards to the ethics of the journalism profession.

 “Warri Today core focus is to support the birth and sustainability of a peaceful, united and development enabling Niger Delta through collection, processing and dissemination of the most credible news, information and entertainment”, Okpare stated.

On its vision, the statement added “To be first with timely, factual and credible media contents that dictate agenda, collective bargaining and positive thinking for steady advancement of the Niger Delta dream while creating opportunities for growth among our workforce.”
