In a bold and pointed declaration, Dr. Ebi Franklyn Waboke, former Deputy Clerk of the Delta State House of Assembly and 2023 NNPP candidate for Burutu Federal Constituency, has singled out Senator Ned Nwoko as the only visible and performing lawmaker in Delta State, branding him “the only one working” while others have “gone silent.”
In a statement titled “We Need Ned Now,” Waboke praised the Delta North Senator for his consistency, visibility, and results in the National Assembly, describing him as “undoubtedly the Delta State Legislator of the Years: 2023–2025.”
“Two years after the elections, most of our legislators have disappeared into the shadows,” Waboke said. “But Ned Nwoko remains vocal, visible, and actively legislative. He speaks, he acts, and he delivers.”
The former House Clerk didn’t hold back in slamming what he sees as a coordinated attempt to undermine Nwoko. He claimed the senator is under attack simply for refusing to play along with corrupt political interests.
“It is this same man that enemies of progress now seek to bring down—because he refused to join the corrupt circle,” Waboke said. “When you shine, the shadows grow jealous.”
Taking aim at other public officials across the state, Waboke challenged constituents to demand accountability.
“Where are your councillors? Where are your House of Assembly members? Where are your Reps?” he asked. “What bills have they sponsored? What motions have they moved? What oversight have they done?”
He insisted that Senator Nwoko’s unmatched performance is the reason he is being targeted and called on Deltans to rally behind him.
“Ned Nwoko stands alone in performance, and they attack him for it. But we see clearly. And we say it plainly: We Need Ned Now.”
The statement has reignited public conversation about legislative effectiveness in Delta State, with Nwoko now widely regarded—by critics and supporters alike—as the most active and effective lawmaker to emerge from the state in decades.
