Urhobo Foundation to Host Global Webinar on Urhobo Nation 25-Year Development Master Plan

The Urhobo Foundation has announced plans to host a landmark global webinar focused on unveiling the Urhobo Nation Development 25-Year Master Plan (UDMP) on Thursday, May 1st, 2025. The virtual event, which is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM (WAT), will unite Urhobo leaders, scholars, professionals, and diaspora stakeholders to discuss a strategic blueprint for the future of the Urhobo Nation.

The webinar, themed “Advancing Economic Growth and Sustainable Development in Urhoboland: Strategies for 2030 and Beyond”, aims to present a comprehensive development agenda designed to drive socio-economic progress across key sectors including education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, cultural revitalization, economic development, and diaspora collaboration.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Prince Randolph ErumaGborie, Chairman, Organizing Committee, and Dr. Benson Uwheru, FCIB, Secretary, Organizing Committee described it as “a defining moment for the Urhobo Nation.” He added that “the Master Plan is a strategic document and rallying point for visionary development. The webinar is our call to action — to unite, build, and deliver lasting impact for generations to come.”

These distinguished thought leaders will share insights into the pillars of the Master Plan and explore opportunities to align Urhobo development with Nigeria’s Vision 2050 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key objectives of the webinar include presenting the UDMP (2025–2050) to global stakeholders, fostering collaboration among Urhobo associations, professionals, and youth worldwide, and establishing a framework for long-term partnerships and community-driven progress.
