Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has called on the public to stop weighing in on her marriage after she announced its breakdown on social media recently.
Taking to Instagram, she urged people to refrain from sharing their views about her personal affairs. "I understand that many people have opinions about my personal life.
The truth is, no one knows the full story except the people who actually lived it," she wrote.
Ogbodo stressed that social media often creates a false sense of understanding about other people's lives. "Yet social media has a way of making everyone believe they know more about someone else's life than the people living it," she noted.
She revealed that her focus right now is on her children and her own healing process. "My priority right now is raising my children, focusing on my healing, however that journey unfolds, and moving forward with dignity and peace of mind," she said.
The actress made it clear she won't be sharing further details about her marriage publicly. "I will not be discussing the details of my marriage publicly unless there is an absolute need to do so," she added.
She appealed for compassion and respect from the public during this period. "Until then, I respectfully ask for understanding, kindness and respect for me and everyone involved.
Thank you to everyone who has chosen compassion over judgement," she concluded.
