Troops Destroy Terrorists’ Logistics Base in Niger State

Troops from the Nigerian military have successfully conducted a raid on a hideout used by terrorists and their suppliers to store resources in Palele near the Shiroro community in Niger State.

Acting on reliable intelligence about the presence of a weapons cache belonging to the terrorists in the eastern part of Palele, the troops were instructed to deploy air assets to eliminate the threat.

The operation resulted in significant damage to the target area, with a secondary explosion confirming the destruction of weapons and ammunition.

Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force, informed journalists that these weapons were believed to be associated with one of the most wanted terrorist leaders on the terrorists’ lists.

He stated that the strikes had undoubtedly degraded the capabilities of terrorist elements operating in the region, preventing them from attacking innocent civilians, particularly in Kaduna and Niger states.

The Air Vice Marshal further emphasized that the Nigerian Air Force, along with other surface forces, would maintain dominance over areas of concern through enhanced situational awareness, continuous patrols, and targeted interdiction of terrorists’ safe-havens.

The successful operation is a testament to the Nigerian military’s commitment to neutralizing threats posed by terrorist groups and safeguarding the lives of citizens.

It also highlights the importance of intelligence gathering and cooperation between various security agencies in combating terrorism.

The Nigerian military’s recent air strike on a terrorists’ hideout in Niger State has dealt a significant blow to the terrorist network operating in the region.

This operation underscores the military’s determination to protect the lives of civilians and maintain security in the face of persistent threats posed by terrorist groups.
