Tompolo endorses Tinubu for 2027, hails economic reforms, security gains

High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has declared his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, describing the president as a visionary and transformational leader deserving of a second term to build on current gains.

Tompolo’s endorsement was conveyed through a goodwill message delivered by Mr. Edgar Daniel Biu at the World Press Conference of the PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, held at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.

In the statement, Tompolo praised the Tinubu administration for initiating bold economic reforms that have stabilised the national economy, improved the ease of doing business, and laid the groundwork for shared prosperity.

He also lauded the president’s efforts in promoting peace and security, particularly in the Niger Delta, where he credited Tinubu's strategic investments and interventions for the prevailing stability in the region.

Tompolo emphasised the administration’s achievements in curbing crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and sea piracy—challenges that previously disrupted oil production and stifled socio-economic development.

“President Tinubu has shown uncommon resolve in securing our vital economic infrastructure and advancing national unity,” he noted. “A second term will allow him to consolidate these gains and deepen democratic dividends across the country.”

Addressing members of the PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, Tompolo underscored the importance of grassroots mobilisation and unity of purpose. He urged the group to remain focused on its mission to galvanise nationwide support for Tinubu’s re-election.

“Together, we will succeed. We cannot afford to fail,” he declared.
