Tinubu Vows Tough Action Against Threats to Nigeria’s Sovereignty

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a strong commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty, promising that those who threaten it will face severe consequences.

Speaking to leaders of Afenifere, the respected Yoruba Socio-Cultural Organisation, during a meeting at the State House in Abuja, President Tinubu emphasized his administration’s unwavering dedication to maintaining Nigeria’s unity and constitutional democracy.

Addressing the security challenges facing the nation, President Tinubu highlighted the government’s success in degrading terrorism to a level that it no longer threatens Nigeria’s sovereignty.

He also assured that banditry and kidnapping would be defeated, emphasizing a strict policy against paying ransoms.

The president noted that the government is making significant progress in intelligence gathering to combat these threats effectively.

President Tinubu also discussed his administration’s focus on comprehensive economic security and addressing foundational challenges to create a fair and equitable system for all Nigerians.

He emphasized the government’s efforts to re-engineer Nigeria’s finances and boost the purchasing power of citizens, aiming to improve the standard of living for all.

During the meeting, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olu Falae, commended President Tinubu for his courageous decisions and highlighted the importance of fairness and equity in governance.

He urged the president to continue working towards constitutional amendments that would devolve more powers to the states.

The Afenifere delegation, led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti and other eminent citizens, expressed their support for President Tinubu’s initiatives to strengthen Nigeria’s security and promote fairness and equity across the nation.

As Nigeria continues to face various security and economic challenges, the government’s commitment to addressing these issues head-on and ensuring a stable and prosperous future for all Nigerians remains a top priority.
