Tinubu Observes Eid Prayer at Dodan Barracks, Lagos

President Bola Tinubu observed the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at the Dodan Barracks Eid prayer ground in Lagos on Wednesday morning, marking the end of the one-month-long Ramadan fast.

He was joined by his family members, Lagos State deputy governor Obafemi Hamzat, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, and former Minister of Works Babatunde Raji Fashola, among others.

Tinubu had previously traveled to Lagos from Abuja to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr festival with his family and the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and around the world.

In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the President congratulated the Muslim faithful on this auspicious occasion, which signifies total submission to God Almighty and the command of sacrifice and service to humankind.

President Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity and dedication to the nation-building process during an iftar with Nigeria’s leaders of thought and conscience.

He urged all citizens to come together and rededicate themselves to this noble duty, stating that “we are the sculptor, and Nigeria is the clay; we build it the way we desire.”

The President also prayed that the lessons, blessings, and joys of the season would abide with Nigerians always and wished everyone a Happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

As the Muslim community in Nigeria and worldwide celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, the event serves as a reminder of the importance of unity, faith, and service to others.

The President’s participation in the Eid prayer at the Dodan Barracks prayer ground highlights his commitment to these values and the well-being of the Nigerian people.
