The Chairman of TANTITA Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) and Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, has showered accolades on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marks his 73rd birthday, praising his decisive leadership and outstanding achievements in just two years in office.
In a goodwill message, Ekpemupolo described Tinubu as a leader who thrives under unusual circumstances, boldly making transformative decisions that have placed Nigeria on the path of sustainable development.
“Every generation creates for itself a special breed of personalities, and Mr. President, you undoubtedly fit into this category. Over the decades, you have dedicated yourself to building bridges of friendship, laying solid foundations, and making personal sacrifices to create a just, better, and equitable society,” he said.
Ekpemupolo highlighted Tinubu’s remarkable impact on the Nigerian economy, security, and infrastructure, particularly in the Niger Delta region. He commended the President’s unwavering support in the fight against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism, which has significantly increased the nation’s crude oil production from 600,000 barrels per day to about 1.8 million barrels per day.
Listing Tinubu’s key accomplishments, he noted:
Doubling aggregate revenue to over N9.1 trillion.
Reducing revenue spent on debt servicing from 97% to 68%.
Clearing $5 billion in outstanding foreign exchange obligations.
Revitalizing the oil and gas sector and creating the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative.
Establishing the Student Loan Fund and disbursing N45.6 billion to students.
Unlocking a $700 billion mining fortune through the transformation of the solid minerals sector.
Spearheading monumental infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Highway.
Signing into law the bill establishing the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) in Okerenkoko, Delta State.
Ekpemupolo emphasized that Tinubu’s bold reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and a more unified forex management system, have reshaped Nigeria’s economic landscape.
Looking ahead, he pledged full support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, declaring, “We will join other progressive-minded leaders and the good people of the Niger Delta to preach your gospel of continuity beyond 2027. Nothing can change our support. It’s your turn for another four years, and we are backing you solidly.”
He added by wishing the President continued strength, wisdom, and good health to lead Nigeria to greater heights. "Happy birthday, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Nigeria’s beacon of hope.”
