Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), its managing director, Elohor Aiboni, has won the prestigious Energy Personality Award at the 2024 edition of the Nigeria International Energy Summit in Abuja.
Aiboni received the award after securing the highest number of online votes from industry participants ahead of the summit.
Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Aiboni acknowledged the support and collaboration of Shell management and her colleagues, attributing her success to their collective efforts in delivering value to Nigeria and other stakeholders from SNEPCo’s deep-water operations.
A chemical engineer by background, Aiboni has made significant contributions to the oil and gas industry since joining Shell in 2002.
She has served in various roles, including production operations, project and asset management, and operations readiness and assurance. Aiboni also managed third-party interfaces across several Shell assets in Nigeria and Kazakhstan.
In 2021, Aiboni was appointed the first female managing director of SNEPCo. Under her leadership, the company has continued to achieve new milestones at Bonga, Nigeria’s first deep-water production.
In February 2023, Bonga reached a remarkable 1-billion-barrel oil export mark, showcasing the success of SNEPCo’s deep-water operations.
