Senator Ubah Applauds National Assembly for Passing South East Development Commission Bill

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing the Anambra South Senatorial District of Anambra State, commended the National Assembly for passing the South East Development Commission Bill.

The bill, which was introduced by Ubah, aims to address the developmental challenges faced by the South East region of Nigeria.

Senator Ubah expressed great optimism that the bill, once signed into law by President Bola Tinubu, would promote economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare in the region.

He emphasized the need for the implementation of targeted intervention as soon as the bill receives the assent of the President.

The federal lawmaker was full of gratitude to his colleagues in the Senate and House of Representatives for giving the bill accelerated hearing and passage.

He highlighted the importance of the bill in putting an end to the perceived marginalisation of the South East and enabling the region to benefit directly from federal government intervention programs.

Ubah further reiterated that the federal government is committed to the development of various regions of the country and expressed confidence that the Senate would prioritize the implementation of the bill when signed into law.

He also pledged to work towards the development and prosperity of his Senatorial District, the South East region, and the country as a whole.

The passage of this bill is a significant step towards addressing the developmental challenges faced by the South East region and promoting the interests of the region.

With the support of the federal government and the commitment of the National Assembly, the South East Development Commission has the potential to bring about much-needed growth and development to the region.
