Senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Senator Ned Nwoko, has reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the mandate given to him by his constituents, stating that their welfare remains his top priority. Reflecting on the overwhelming support he received during the 2023 senatorial election, Nwoko vowed to advocate for the Anioma people and ensure their development needs are prioritized in legislative discussions.

During his campaign, Senator Nwoko assured the people of Delta North that he would represent them effectively in the Senate. He reaffirmed that he is dedicated to defending their interests and using his position to bring their concerns to the forefront of legislative business. As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Reparation and Repatriation, Nwoko emphasized his commitment to acting with integrity and ensuring that his constituents receive all that is due to them.

"I stand on honour and integrity. The people of Delta North have given me their trust, and I will repay that trust by ensuring that they are not denied their rightful benefits," Nwoko stated. He has consistently highlighted his focus on being a dedicated representative rather than pursuing personal gain.

Regarding the ongoing call for the creation of Anioma State, Nwoko clarified that he has no personal interest in becoming governor but is solely focused on building a prosperous future for the Anioma people. His commitment, he said, is to the long-term development of the region and its people.

Senator Nwoko also pledged to use his extensive connections and influence to attract investments and developmental projects to Delta North, aiming to leave a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come. He expressed his intention to create opportunities that will have a meaningful and sustainable impact on his constituency.

Before his election to the Senate, Nwoko had already made a name for himself as a philanthropist, touching the lives of many in Anioma land. His generosity has extended to various areas, providing assistance to those in need and being a source of support for many across the region. As Senator, he remains committed to continuing this legacy of service and uplifting the people of Delta North.
