Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North in the National Assembly, revealed on Saturday that he has submitted six bills for consideration on the Senate floor.
In a post shared on X after arriving in Kano for a three-day retreat of the Senate Committee on the review of the 1999 Constitution, Senator Nwoko expressed excitement over the development, noting that a constitutional review was long overdue. He added that he was honored to be among the few Senators selected from the 109 representatives nationwide.
According to him, "It's a critical task, and something I've been looking forward to, especially as I have submitted six bills for recommendation to the Senate."

He listed the submitted bills, which include:
A bill to amend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Cap. C23 Laws of the Federation, 2004, to create Anioma State.
A bill to establish the National Talent, Rehabilitation, and Integration Agency.
A bill to amend the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007, No. 7, to prohibit the discriminatory use of foreign currency for remuneration.
A bill to amend the Electoral Act, 2022 (as amended) to provide for the issuance of permanent voter cards at the point of registration.
A bill to amend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, to make first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) training mandatory in homes, schools, institutions, and offices, alongside adopting Good Samaritan laws.
A bill to amend the 1999 Constitution (as amended) to provide for diaspora voting.
In a related article, Gloria Okolugbo, Chief Communicator for Senator Ned Nwoko, stated that the retreat of the Constitution Review Committee in Kano provides hope for the Anioma people. According to her, the gathering included ranking Senators, members of the House of Representatives, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Okolugbo emphasized that Senator Nwoko is a key member of this committee, with the Senate President, represented by his Deputy, leading the delegation. She also noted that the creation of Anioma State is one of the key issues under discussion.
"The wind of progress is blowing through Anioma, driven by the relentless commitment of our Distinguished Senator, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko," she wrote. "His vision for the people has translated into tangible projects that promise to uplift and transform the senatorial district."
Okolugbo praised the Senator's proactive approach, noting his efforts to follow up on projects with ministries and agencies, such as addressing the deteriorating sections of the Lagos-Asaba Expressway.
Despite political challenges, Senator Nwoko has maintained his focus on development initiatives and projects for Delta North Senatorial District, including road construction, water supply schemes, and sports facilities. The Senator remains committed to his mandate and refuses to tolerate any interference hindering the execution of these projects.
In a final call, Okolugbo urged public officials and constituents to support Senator Nwoko in his efforts to bring socio-economic development to the region.
