Nigerian actress and film producer Regina Daniels-Nwoko has been recognized as The Sun Newspaper’s Nollywood Personality of the Year.
Daniels was among 36 distinguished Nigerians honored at the 22nd edition of The Sun Awards, organized by The Sun Publishing Limited. The prestigious ceremony took place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event was co-chaired by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Ojukwu.
Following the award, Regina Daniels’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, took to Instagram and X to celebrate her achievement. He praised her dedication and impact in Nollywood, describing the recognition as well-deserved.
On Instagram, he wrote:

Similarly, on X, he expressed his pride and admiration:
