Senator Gbenga Daniel Backs Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s Call for Constitutional Review

Senator Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East senatorial district, voiced his support for the implementation of the 2014 National Conference report.

The event, hosted by The Patriots in honor of the late legal luminary Prof. Ben Nwabueze, brought together prominent figures from various sectors to discuss the need for constitutional reform in Nigeria.

The 2014 National Conference, convened under the leadership of former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, assembled 492 delegates to deliberate on constitutional reforms.

These delegates represented diverse segments of Nigerian society, including professional bodies and groups, and embarked on the monumental task of crafting a new Constitution for the nation.

During the National Dialogue, Senator Daniel commended the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his bold stance on the need for constitutional review.

The senator emphasized the importance of legislative intervention to catalyze the implementation process and ensure the prudent allocation of resources.

The event attracted a distinguished array of attendees, including Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Sen. Aminu Tanbuwal, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Donald Duke, Chief Olabode George, and Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.

Other notable figures present were Chief James Ibori, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (Rtd), Prof. Anya O. Anya, Chief Mike A.A. Ozhekhome, Obong Victor Attah, Pa. Ayo Adebanjo, and many others.

Senator Daniel’s support for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s call for constitutional review highlights the growing momentum for change in Nigeria’s political landscape.
