Hon. Sadam Bello Sale has won the APC primary election for Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency.
The contest was held peacefully across all three local government areas.
Sale thanked Allah for his victory in a statement released after voting concluded. He also praised party leaders, delegates, and supporters who backed his candidacy throughout the race.
"I am deeply honoured and humbled to emerge as the winner of our party's primary election," Sale said. According to him, the trust and prayers of constituents made the victory possible.
Two rival aspirants stepped back to support Sale's bid. Hon.
Abdulshahid Baffa and Hon. Abdulmalik Musa Koguna withdrew from the contest, which Sale described as mature statesmanship.
Sale noted their decision would not be forgotten. He promised to remember their sacrifice and unity during the campaign ahead.
The winner extended an olive branch to fellow aspirant Hon. Zakariya Jidda and his supporters.
In his words, they remained one family pursuing development for the constituency.
"Now is the time to close ranks and work together for victory in the forthcoming general election," Sale stated. He called for unity before the 2025 general polls.
Sale is currently Deputy Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly. Party officials had earlier endorsed him as the consensus candidate before the primary election.
Looking ahead, he appealed for continued prayers and cooperation from constituents. The incoming campaign would demand collective effort, he noted, to secure victory at the ballot.
Sale promised better, inclusive, and effective representation for people across the three LGAs. He urged supporters to maintain momentum as the general election draws near.
